NICKI WAS EXCITED. She and Brandy had talked a couple of hours earlier and changed their mind about lunch. They were going to instead try out a new bistro in town, a small place on Main Street that people had been raving about. Apparently, they made espressos (one of Nicki’s weaknesses), but they were known for simple sandwiches, salads, and soups. The place supposedly looked high class, something people wouldn’t shut up about, and displayed the works of local artists on the walls and even had a mini art gallery in the back. Nicki had grown tired of hearing the hype and had wanted to check it out for herself, so she was thrilled she could do it with one of her besties.
